Arkane Austin’s cooperative open-world shooter is supported by id Software, according to the LinkedIn page of an animator from this studio.
Xbox Game Studios announced at Microsoft’s E3 2021 conference, A new title “Redfall” from Arkane Austin, the creators of the first Dishonored and Prey. Redfall is an open-world shooter in which id Software, the creators of DOOM, and Quake are collaborating.
Twitter user @ bogorad222 has noticed that the LinkedIn page of Jeff Senita, an animator at id Software, showed that he was working on “additional animation” for Redfall. After the dissemination of this information, Senita has removed that line from his profile on the social network.

It is not the first time that Arkane Studios has collaborated with other ZeniMax Media teams. French studio Arkane Lyon (who are now with Deathloop ) worked on the development of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, MachineGames’ first-person co-op shooter. They also supported the development of Wolfenstein Cyberpilot, a virtual reality shooter from the same team.
It is unknown if id Software is working on any of its projects beyond the Doom Eternal update for next-gen consoles that will arrive on June 29. Perhaps we will leave doubts in the QuakeCon 2021, a digital event dedicated to the games which will be held from August 19 to 21.
