State of Play recap: Deathloop, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Moss 2, Sifu, and more

The PlayStation digital event dedicated to the upcoming PS5 and PS4 games has left us with surprises like Moss Book 2, a Demon Slayer gameplay, and interesting indies.

Sony has delivered on its promise: the State of Play without artifice focused on Deathloop, the next game from Arkane Studios exclusive to PS5 and PC that will arrive in September, in third-party titles such as Lost Judgment and Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicle, and interesting independent works like Jett: The Far Shore and Sifu. Yes, there has been a more or less predictable surprise: more details of Death Stranding: Director’s Cut.

#1 Deathloop : new mechanics in a 10-minute gameplay

Deathloop, new from the creators of Dishonored and Prey, has been the star of the show; is coming September 14 to PS5 and PC. The gameplay has shown us how the narrative will unfold with confusing messages that Colt, the protagonist, will be able to read on the walls or in the air.

#2 Death Stranding: Director's Cut arrives on September 24

Kojima Productions has unveiled a gameplay trailer for Death Stranding: Director’s Cut with a release date of September 24. The video specifies that it is a ” remastering ” for PS5. New story missions are added, more confrontations, improved melee combat, additional weapons, a training ground, utensils to help us with transports, and a race mode on the Fragile circuit. It will be priced at € 49.99 and whoever already has it on PS4 can upgrade to the new version by paying € 10.

#3 Lost Judgment presents a first gameplay

Lost Judgment has shown almost two minutes of unreleased gameplay. This is the sequel to Judgment, the action game by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio ( Yakuza ) in which we put ourselves in the shoes of a detective who solves his cases by analyzing clues, exploring scenarios, and stepping on heads when necessary. The title will arrive on September 24 to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, and Xbox One; there will be an Ultimate edition that will give early access on September 21.

 

#4 Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- delves into his adventure mode

Until a few weeks ago we hardly knew anything about the story mode of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles , but in the last couple of weeks we have learned that it will not be limited to fighting. The new gameplay of the Adventure mode focuses on Mansion Tsuzumi and mixes playable with other film scenes.

#5 The mouse Quill returns in Moss: Book II

The first Moss was one of the most prominent games of the first batch of PlayStation VR releases. Now this action-puzzle adventure for PS4 VR is back with Moss: Book II. No release date is announced yet, but you can watch a gameplay trailer below.

#6 First gameplay of Jett: The Far Shore , the new from the creators of Superbrothers

Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery is one of the most remarkable indie games ever published. Last year the enigmatic JETT: The Far Shore was announced, of which this July 8 we have seen the first gameplay. It is a narrative space exploration adventure that mixes sections in the third person where we drive a ship that moves at full speed through huge places with other phases in the first person where we talk and walk. The creators say they want to express the feeling of wonder that comes from looking at the sky. It will arrive on PS5, PS4, and PC in 2021.

#7 Sifu delayed to 2022 and teaches playability

Announced at the February State of Play and originally planned for later this year, the creators of Absolver have shown new gameplay of the kung-fu game Sifu, while also showing how the mechanic of aging (with each death) works. the protagonist gets older). It will be out in early 2022 for PS5, PS4, and PC.

#8 FIST punches arrive on September 7

#9 Arcadegeddon is new from the creators of Friday: The 13th

IllFonic, the makers of Friday the 13th: The Game and Predator: Hunting Grounds have introduced Arcadegeddon, a colorful multiplayer cooperative shooter packed with final bosses, loot chests, minigames, and a variety of environments. It’s available now on PS5 and PC in early access; the final version is expected in 2022.

#10 Tribes of Midgard presents the contents of its season 1

The Nordic-themed action RPG with animated aesthetics Tribes of Midgard is coming to PS5, PS4, and PC on July 27, but the launch is not the end. The game will continue to expand and the developers, Norsfell, have presented the contents of Season 1 in the following trailer.
